Former PhD Student

Lancaster University, UK

Dr Jaydan Pratts was a PhD student at the LISN lab. His PhD thesis explores inner speech, a speech-like experience without sound, aiming to develop an integrated model that accounts for its diverse nature. Various experimental techniques, including fMRI meta-analysis and transcranial magnetic stimulation, were used to investigate the brain regions involved in inner speech and its connections with speech production and perception. The research findings revealed a complex interaction between different inner speech phenomena. Jaydan now works as a data engineering in the tech industry.
